To me Atticus seem like the kind of parent who does not interfere directly in his kids lives. To me it seemed more like he would try and instill his views as a parent on to Jem and Scout. Most of these views seem to be like we're no better than any one else and "You never really understand a person until you consider things form his point of view..." p.30. And more of the like and yes I can begin a sentence with the word and.
When Jem and scout are fighting he went and broke it up. I think this shows he doesn't want his children fighting. When Jem is playing Boo Radley he just tells him to put the scissors away. I think he wanted Jem to learn for him self not to do that. I think that my parents wouldn't be much like Atticus but then again they haven't been many of the same situtions and I spose I wouldn't mind having a parent like him.
